Mini Course Information

This mini course describes the critical importance and impact of the physician voice in informing reproductive rights jurisprudence; and examines the various ways which physicians support lawsuits, including their roles as plaintiffs, expert witnesses, and amici.

Learning Objectives

  • Describe the ways in which clinical research and other research evidence are critical to supporting litigation on abortion
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the critical importance and impact of the physician voice in informing reproductive rights jurisprudence
  • Identify the various ways which OB/GYN physicians support lawsuits that challenge restrictive laws, including their roles as plaintiffs, expert witnesses, and amici
