You will complete all assigned videos and readings each week and be prepared to discuss on Wednesdays. Be prepared to demonstrate your knowledge in your assessment and plans for patients. You should identify your own knowledge gaps and seek out resources to fill those gaps.
- Use evidence to develop patient-specific management plans
- Manage perioperative care of patients including managing perioperative chronic medical conditions, obtaining medical clearance when necessary, managing and ordering perioperative medications, pre admission testing, preoperative orders and arranging appropriate postoperative care including post procedure phone calls to office aspirations.
- Understand the risks and benefits of different contraceptive methods and used evidence-based resources to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Practice counseling techniques to help with patient decision making around abortion and contraception care.
